Why Us?

  • We are a well established legal search boutique, formed in September 1999.
  • We are passionate about our business and we are successful in the vast majority of our searches. As such, we have been instrumental in moving many high profile partners and teams.
  • Our fee structure is success driven. We try to keep our upfront fee as low as possible and we do not charge a short list fee.
  • We are independently recognised and recommended as one of the leading search boutiques (Deacon Search has regularly been shortlisted for the “Recruiter Awards for Excellence” and is recommended in the London Professional Recruitment Guide).
  • To ensure maximum focus we act only at partner level in the London legal market. We act for a select cluster of leading law firms which limits conflict issues. Our aim is to be independently considered the leading legal search boutique in terms of successful delivery and service to clients.
  • All our consultants have worked at top law firms and therefore understand the needs of our clients.
  • We have a unique search process which delivers to defined timescales and features: a dedicated research team who utilise a number of resources (including our extensive database and network contacts) to identify potential candidates; comprehensive research reports and interview notes which provide clients with detailed information on potential candidates which assists in the short list process; regular update reports, both verbal and written, which ensure the client is kept as fully briefed as possible and a due diligence service, which includes reference checking, client following verification and psychometric testing.
  • We believe it is important to develop relationships with our clients outside of the assignment remit and as such provide regular market reports on the latest partner moves within the legal arena and seminars on topical recruitment issues.
  • We were the first specialist legal search consultancy to become a member of the Association of Search and Selection Consultants.
  • The Deacon Search Foundation ensures that 10% of the company's net profits are donated to charitable causes.
