Background

Deacon Search was formed in September 1999 as an independent boutique consultancy specialising in partner appointments. In 2007 we launched a sister business Deacon Associates to recruit for our law firm clients at more junior levels and in 2011 we created Deacon In-House which focuses on placing lawyers at all levels into corporates and financial institutions. Whilst our focus is primarily on London, increasingly our remits stretch way beyond the City. Our aim is to be the leading legal recruitment business in terms of successful delivery and service to clients.

We have assembled a group of experienced and talented recruiters across our three divisions. All of our consultants are ex lawyers and/or experienced recruiters, many of them hired from our immediate competitors.  We recruit for some of the biggest names in the City but are as well known for our value-added services and particularly our unrivalled Market Report which tracks and analyses senior movement across the legal market.This has become required reading for Managing Partners, Heads of HR and other key law firm decision makers.

Integrity is at the heart of what we do. Headhunting can be a murky business and unfortunately the industry is populated by some fairly unscrupulous people. However we conduct our business with honesty and transparency at all times and this governs our approach together with a passion for what we do. We are also proud to donate 10% of our net profit each year to a wide range of charities.
